There are a lot of great buys on electric guitar starter packs. While there are many offered by the name brand companies such as Epiphone, Squier, and Ibanez, some of the best deals to be found are at Rondo Music. While most of the name brand starter packs offer a really stripped down guitar and an inexpensive amp, the guitars at Rondo are surprisingly full featured and include such upgrades as EMG pickups and Floyd Rose systems at a fraction of the price of the competition.
They do this by having guitars manufactured under their own private labels which are Douglas, Agile, and SX. These are imported from China and South Korea and shipped directly to customers from the U.S. distribution center. All are available as part of starter packs because you can add a 10 watt amp, cord, strap, and instructional video to your order for a very low price.
I have to say that their customer service is exceptional. And the guitars are of a surprisingly good quality, made of solid wood, a play and sound great. There are also quite a few pre made electric guitar starter packs availabe that include a guitar, amp, a strap, a cable, an guitar lesson DVD and a gig bag. They also have many 3/4 scale guitars made especially for younger learners with smaller hands which are made at the same quality standard. These also make great travel guitars because the necks are not as long, so they will fit into much smaller spaces.
I actually came across these guitars after my main guitar, a nice Fender American Strat, was lost. I needed something to play and I was pretty strapped for cash. When I saw these guitars and the prices, I went ahead and ordered one. I figured, what the heck, if it is a total piece of junk, I’m only out $99. At least they looked a lot better in the pictures than the ones I had seen at Wal Mart…
When I got my guitar a few days later, (an SX strat copy with a floyd Rose) I couldn’t believe it. This guitar had a nice sunburst finish and looked better than the pictures. It played really well and sounded good too. It was such a good surprise.
No, it did not replace my Strat, but considering that my Strat cost over $1500, I couldn’t complain. In fact, I was overjoyed to have such a nice axe for the price.

Are you looking for a great electric guitar pack? I was looking for one several months ago for a temporary replacement for a guitar that I lost. I searched all over the place and found a lot of great deals at Rondo Music. I fully expected to get a poorly made guitar for the price I paid, but when I received my guitar a few days later, I was pleasantly surprised. Instead of some cheaply made electric guitar, it was well made, sounded and played good and was beautiful. I was really excited to get this gorgeous axe and it is now one of my main electric guitars.
